Bacon Delivery: How Fresh Bacon Ships to Your Door

Bacon delivery from Vande Rose Farms works like this: you order from the farm shop Tuesday through Friday, the bacon ships frozen with dry ice by FedEx, and it arrives the following Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. It goes straight into your fridge or freezer the day it lands.

That is the whole system, and every part of it is on our shipping page. This guide walks through what happens between your order and your skillet, what the box looks like on the porch, how to store it, and how to set up a bacon subscription so the delivery repeats on its own.

We cannot promise a specific arrival day, and the shipping page says so. You get an email with a FedEx tracking link when the box ships, and that link shows the exact day. Check your spam folder if it does not show up.

Expedited shipping is offered at checkout if you need it sooner. We do not ship to P.O. boxes or outside the United States.

Sending bacon as a gift? At checkout you can ship to a different address than your billing address, and there is a gift message field that takes up to 120 characters. Tell the person it is coming, so the box does not sit on a porch all afternoon.

What arrives at the door

The bacon ships frozen, packed with dry ice. FedEx leaves the package at the delivery address with no signature required, so you do not need to be home, but you do need to bring it in the same day.

Open it and check it. USDA’s mail order food safety page says perishable meat should arrive frozen or partly frozen with ice crystals still visible, or at least refrigerator cold, below 40°F. If it arrives warm, above 40°F, do not eat it, and contact the seller.

Dry ice may be gone by the time the box lands, and that is normal as long as the bacon itself is still cold or frozen when you check it. If any dry ice remains, do not touch it with bare hands; leave it in the open box until it is gone.

How to store delivered bacon

Same day it arrives, put it in the freezer or the fridge. USDA’s bacon page lists 7 days in the refrigerator and 4 months in the freezer for bacon, and 3 weeks and 6 months for bacon cured without nitrites. Follow the date on the package.

Thaw a pack in the fridge, not on the counter. A 12 oz pack thaws overnight, and a 2.25 lb pack can take a day or two. Cook it in a skillet or in the oven, and keep leftover cooked bacon in the fridge for 4 to 5 days, per the same USDA page.

Our uncured bacon comes in 2.25 lb and 12 oz packages, so pick the size that fits your freezer. Both are in the farm shop, and we compared them in where to buy Vande Rose bacon.

Set your bacon delivery to repeat

If you run out every month, the America’s Best Uncured Bacon subscription ships 3 or 6 of the 2.25 lb packs, monthly or quarterly. Same bacon, same frozen shipping, no reorder to remember.

We explained the options in how our bacon subscription works. To pick a cadence, count the packs you open in a month, then choose 3 or 6 packs monthly or quarterly to match; USDA lists 4 months in the freezer for bacon, which is the limit to plan around.

Every box carries the same pork: Heritage Duroc hogs raised crate free, with no antibiotics ever, on Iowa family farms. We wrote about that side of the business in the Vande Rose Farms ethos.

Questions people ask about bacon delivery

Where can I buy bacon online?

Direct from a farm brand’s own shop is the simplest route, because you can read its product and shipping pages before you order. Ours is at vanderosefarms.com/shop, and it ships frozen to any US address that is not a P.O. box.

Where can I buy bacon already cooked?

Not from us. All of our bacon is raw and must be cooked. Cooking a whole pack in the oven on Sunday gives you the same convenience for the week.

Who has the best deal on bacon?

We do not track other sellers’ prices. On our site, the subscription is the way to get regular deliveries without reordering, and current prices are on each product page.

Where can I buy the best bacon online?

Look for a seller that names the breed, lists a short cure, names the smoke wood, and ships frozen with a cold source. Then check its shipping policy for delivery days and what happens if a box arrives warm.

Order Tuesday, cook it Sunday. Bacon delivery does not need to be complicated: a frozen box, a tracking email, and a freezer with room. The bacon inside is Heritage Duroc, applewood smoked, and cured with four ingredients.

Shop bacon in the farm shop, or start a bacon subscription and let the delivery repeat.
