WHY DOES BREED MATTER?

That's easy... marbling, flavor and tenderness!

Our superior product starts at the beginning, with an award winning 175-year-old Duroc Heritage Breed. Known for its rich red color and celebrated for its juicy, tender and flavorful meat. Hand-Selected for quality and minimally processed to retain the natural qualities of pork.

The pork chops are on a wooden cutting board and some ingredients and spices like peppercorns, rosemary, marine salt, garlic and tomatoes are all around them. Predominant colors are red and brown. Raised Crate Free

Our hogs are raised crate free, with no gestation crates or farrowing crates. Giving our hogs ample space to move freely, throughout their lives.

We at Vande Rose Farms are always clear and never use confusing unregulated phrases like All Natural.

VEGETARIAN FED

Our animals are NEVER EVER fed animal by-products.

CURED vs UNCURED

This is purely a matter of safety, preservation, and preference.  Unless you are getting your meat from your own back yard chances are it has undergone some method of safety and preservation.

Cured meats will result in a longer shelf life with the use of nitrites, nitrates, and in some cases phosphates.

Uncured is a method of preservation with the use of natural ingredients.  With the use of natural salts and flavorings, like celery powder to help keep your bacon fresh.

Very similar in flavor and appearance. It all depends on your preference.
